I think the Ethiopian civilization would present just as much of a problem for white supremacists. Ethiopians are unmistakably black, and any attempt at explaining the giant obelisks and the rock churches as built by someone else would be difficult to accept.

Well most archeological and genetic evidence points towards whites being quite new on the scene all things considered. If anything whites were a bit of an anomaly that seemed to catch on. One theory is that the lighter skin was seen as exotic and hence desirable leading to a high sexual success with the sexually dominant members of the tribes, leading to a rapid spread of the genes.

But I dont really have any sources for any of that so take it all with a large grain of salt.

What the hell does "largest Christian nation" even mean, and why is it a relevant statistic?

Sure, the US has the largest Christian population, but that's just because, well, it has a lot of people. By proportion, the US is about 75% Christian, meaning that about one in every four random people you say "Merry Christmas" to are not Christians.
