Got through the first column of that wharrgarble. I love how anti-feminists will jump to the conclusion that criticizing sexism in a work means that feminists think the work is 100% irredeemably sexist and that people who enjoy it are sexist. It's such a fucking conclusion jump that they'd probably make it across the Grand Canyon.

I'm no fan of this brand of feminism, but there's a right way and a wrong way to criticize it.  Can you tell which one this is?

In fairness, there are some feminists who think like that.  But claiming that all of us do is like saying all socialists are tankies.

So, this one is from a friend in college. And when I say "friend", I genuinely mean it this time. He seems to have a mixture of right wing and left wing views, for what its worth, which is why I am somewhat saddened to see him posting something so ignorant.



Because Texas vs. Johnson and United States vs. Eichman never happened, right? The worst part is that the description of the picture talks about how the guy hopes people get arrested for protest pictures of them trampling the flag.

Ok. I'm a veteran of two wars. Ok fine. One war and a NATO peacekeeping mission. Anyways, if you feel you need to burn a flag in protest of what the U.S. is doing or not doing, go right ahead. I won't like it but you have that right.
