Found the in-laws' 45 collection and am cataloguing it. There's well over 100 records here, including a half-dozen book-and-recording sets.
And that's just the 45s. There are a shit-ton of 33 RPM records, and I'm eventually going to catalog all of THOSE too.
Most of what I've gone through is fairly recent stuff from the 60s and 70s, but there's some RCA Red Seal records, which have to be fucking ancient. I'm going to Google for dates on the older ones (because they don't have copyright dates on the record itself) after I've finished typing my fingers off here.
OK, wow. There were a shitton of 60s and 70s singles, which didn't surprise me, but the 2 RCA Bluebird Childrens Records did (production years 1936-early 50's). I'm also confused about the Red Seals--Wikipedia says they should be a red label on black shellac, but the records are red and translucent. I've never seen a record like that before.
