Some of the biggest names in the world online business came together last month in Utah and told state legislators that unless they pass legislation ensuring LGBT employment protection rights, they can kiss any new jobs, and possibly all the jobs in that state, goodbye.

Representatives from big box web companies such as Ancestry.com, 1-800-Contacts and online auction giant eBay told Utah state legislators that unless laws were passed to ensure LGBT job securities, it would be difficult for them to recruit industry experts to the state, thus hitting them at their bottom line.

According to Think Progress “The state is currently considering such a measure, sponsored by state Sen. Ben McAdams (D). At a discussion with business leaders about the proposed legislation, McAdams added that 70 percent of Utah residents support statewide housing and employment protections for gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender individuals,” reported the website.

Surprising, considering it's Mormon country, but unsurprising since Salt Lake City was named the gayest city in America by the Advocate.
That may be the single gayest thing I have ever read on this board. Or the old one. ;)

If Utah goes a step further and legalizes gay marriage for the same reason, I think the rest of the country will do so out of pure shame. :P

Yeah, gays cause hurricanes, tits cause earthquakes, and lack of prayer causes tornadoes. Learn to science, people.

Utah? More like BLUE-TAH.
"Great Britain's two most senior military officers added to the uneasiness. [...] Lord Wolseley, Adjutant General, thought that it might be possible for an enemy to invade without waiters and pastrycooks."

Nice.

It would be great if the same kind of thing happened in Wisconsin. Of course, Walker would fight it. Would just be one more thing to point out that when he talks about creating jobs, he only means creating the type of jobs he wants to create.

I'd almost be willing to stomach Skyfire just to listen to him either support this with "Mormons are the most advancing religion in modern times, so all that stuff about prop 8 support must be fake" or his decrying it as some "conspiracy by liberals to push Mormons out of the country again because they're the most oppressed religion ever"
"To a New Yorker like you, a hero is some type of weird sandwich. Not some nut that takes on two Tigers!" "You gotta hit'em point blank in the ass!" Oddball

Like he would be able to say shit about this because he'd be dead from shock if that happened.
