Yes this is a real thing a woman in Omaha is suing homosexuality, yes it's as stupid as it sounds here's a quote from the article
Identifying herself as an ambassador for God and Jesus Christ, a Nebraska woman has filed a federal lawsuit against all homosexual people on the planet for breaking “religious and moral laws.”

This is probably the dumbest thing I've seen in long time, but knowing this world there will probably come a day where I see some racist guy sue all minority's or some stupid shit like that.

How does a case like this even work?
Despite the whole being a homosexual not being illegal in America, dont lawsuits actually need specific targets?
Not to mention, lets assume that by some twist of tzeech's nipples she wins, what does she even hope to achieve?
There are some really strange people out there.
-
I get the feeling that she's not only a bigoted frum but legitimately mentally ill.

Woman has some form of dementia that's for sure.

I definitely agree with that theory.

On top of everything else there are...jurisdictional issues.
"Witness 2,789,567 on the respondent's side is a 49 year old woman from the Pirahã tribe of the Mura people of Brazil who wants to know why she was brought to this strange country..."

Is suing 700 million people at once even possible?

If she didn't let the jurisdictional issues stop her, or the fact that she's using secular courts to sue people for disobeying religious laws, or that she doesn't know the identities of almost all the people she's suing, what makes you think a silly thing like numbers will get in her way?
Also: In a shocking twist nobody could have foreseen, the suit was dismissed (http://www.omaha.com/news/nebraska/federal-judge-dismisses-nebraskan-s-suit-against-all-homosexuals/article_ac48f042-f43e-11e4-8161-63df2bd2525d.html).
-
Pity. Some twisted part of me wanted the suit to go forward, just to watch the train wreck unfold.
-
As much of a logistical nightmare as it would've been, that would've been hilarious. Maybe homosexuality would hire a single, legal proxy to act in their stead? If I were gay, I'd nominate George Takei.
-
Nomination seconded. Too bad it was inevitably dismissed. Would've been a fabulous example of the human comedy.
-
This entire fiasco was so stupid for so many reasons that I don't know where I should start criticizing it. I'm glad that the courts chose not to waste any more time with it.
-
The best part if Takei were to represent homosexuality? Dude's a Buddhist. He doesn't even believe the Bible.
