Well kids, North Korea and Hong Kong were the closest. This is Thames Town, one of many Chinese ghost cities. Apparently no one lives there and people only go there in order to take wedding pictures at the church; which really isn't a church I guess since there is no congregation or minister.

Judging by the pictures, it has very well maintained plant life for a ghost town. Buildings too, for that matter. Not a speck of dirt on anything.

That's odd. Thames Town is a very clean and pretty place. It's a wonder it's a ghost town. The above mentioned Helen has people living in it as well as a large amount of visitors.
Maybe European type stuff just isn't that popular in China?
