The stupid little arguments that my Mom and Sister get into.
This is what it basically consist of:
My sister gives my mom some kind of suprise gift(it ranges from flowers to something that is needed)
My mom says there was no need in getting her it, and says she'll give my sister the money for it
My sister refuses the money
My mom still is insistant in giving my sister the money
My sister still refuses the money
This goes on for about 10 minutes, back and forth, over and over again.

No. In both cases, the choruses are supposed to be ironic. Problem is, the chorus is the only part most people actually listen to.

To explain further, the first song is about being sent off to war and then being abandoned by your country when you come home. The second is about the social problems that plague the US despite all the proclamations of it being "Number 1" (and, incidentally, isn't even by an American).
