The author of DOOFAAS did make some mistakes; for example, the "Super Huge Interferometric Telescope" is actually a spoof proposal created for an AAS meeting and not a real telescope.

• Some young man gets listed into piloting some monsters in armor (not robots) because his father runs the business.
• He joins a bitchy young woman, an emotionless created human and some frequently drunk woman with an drunk pet penguin.
• Other monsters come to earth and shit hits the fan several times.
• Fighting, with giant monsters.
• Protagonist gets fed up with father, even realizes this is some sort of sinister plot.
• Various characters get fucked over, emotionally and literally.
• Some of them die and won't be seen again in other iterations.
• Something involving the protagonist getting off to an unconscious character and that hand covered in his goo.
• More fighting, for the last time.
• Character gets choked, and that's the end... until...
• Some congratulatory ending that is fuck all with everything that happened the past few hours.

The one thing I give a shit about this show is that this was my old friend's all-time favorite anime.

I wonder why I am reluctant to watch most anime anymore?

By the looks of things, FSTDT is dead and has been for the last month. The last time anything was posted was January and that was a grand total of seven posts across all three categories.

Come to think of it, I wonder if it would be possible now to acquire it? Probably not, knowing Distind's disposition during the split, but mayhaps it's worth a shot?
