While homosexuality is apparently legal in Russia, they have enacted a law making it illegal for homosexuals to display affection to one another in public in several cities. Doing so could give them a fine or a prison sentence.

I say: If you're going to do that to homosexuals, then do the same for HETEROSEXUALS making out in public. You think I wanna be sitting in a restaurant with some couple necking at the table next to me? Fuck off with your hypocricy, Russia!

A prison sentence for displays of affection?  That's crazy!  And "homosexual propaganda"?  Really?    I'm sick of this "homosexuals want to make everybody gay" attitude.  The people who seem to be the most concerned with other people's sexuality are homophobes.

No. I don't know if Russia is supposed to have freedom of speech, but this law would certainly seem to get people arrested for saying, "I love you," to their same-sex partner within earshot or lip-reading distance of anyone who might take offense to it and turn them in. Hell, they'd probably get arrested for looking longingly into the eyes of their partner from across a table, as it would clearly be "homosexual propaganda" in the law's eyes.
