Pope compares gender theory to nuclear weapons
« on: February 20, 2015, 04:50:23 pm »
According to Bergoglio...

Quote
He says every historical period has "Herods" that "destroy, that plot designs of death, that disfigure the face of man and woman, destroying creation."
"Let's think of the nuclear arms, of the possibility to annihilate in a few instants a very high number of human beings," he continues. "Let's think also of genetic manipulation, of the manipulation of life, or of the gender theory, that does not recognize the order of creation."

Recognising trans people, or anything outside the heteronormative paradigm, is dangerous on a scale comparable to genetic engineering and nuclear war.

Well then.

The "genetic manipulation" portion pisses me off too. I've heard plenty of people besides the Pope speak against any sort of genetic modifications because you're "playing god" in the process. Yeah, what a dick move it is to alter a gene that causes debilitating, life-threatening conditions. But no, your god is totally benevolent.
Guys, this is getting creepy. Can we talk about cannibalism instead?

If God was so against genetic manipulation, he would stop people from doing it. since He isn't, he's clearly a fan of the Open Source movement. Body mods for all!

And the sad part is, he's still progressive by papal standards.
Excuse me, sir, do you have a minute to talk about your lord and savior, Hannibal Barca?

Yeah, if the pagans are so smart, why did Jesus invade Pagan-land on the back of a dragon and kill them all!

If said Papal undesirables people are "Herods", then they better be able to muster a bodyguard of 2000 soldiers if they want to keep the title.

Except that we still have free will. The Bible clearly states that God will not try to stop people from doing "wrong" things anymore (not after the flood.)
No matter what happens, no matter what my last words may end up being, I want everyone to claim that they were:
"If you strike me down, I shall become more powerful than you could possibly imagine."
Aww, you guys rock. :)  I feel the love... and the pitchforks and torches.  Tingly!

Not to mention all the times he had entire societies wiped out because they were "doing the wrong thing".

A penis is a (powerful) fucking weapon.

Never thought I'd google "phallic missiles".
History is full of maniacs, my friend, men and women of intelect, highly perceptive individuals, who's brilliant minds know neither restraint nor taboo. Such notions are the devils we must slay for the edification of pony-kind. Even if said edification means violating the rules of decency, society, and rightousness itself.

Sorta reminds me of another shitfit Rome had over people challenging the "order of creation" sometime around 1615.

Heliocentrism, completely unnatural-creation has an order to it you know!

I'll have an order of creation, please, and a side of coleslaw.
