A., it's Appleoosa.  B., I'm going to want to read this.  Odds are good something will pop up that I'll need to check over.

Right.  Also, I'm half considering, now that I'm up to a point...

...I'm half considering making Pinkie's father homophobic.  Like, they're spending the morning after breakfast together, waiting for the train back to Ponyville to arrive, and Pinkie's still a bit unsure about things.  She wants to know how Rarity thinks the rest of their friends will react, and deep inside she's feeling slightly guilty about her feelings for Rarity as she [possibly] had a dream about her father disowning her for it.  I mean, I haven't even written a dream out, but maybe I could script one in here, or at least a bit where Pinkie talks about her dream and about her dad.

Edit:  I did go briefly into the subject, but I didn't dwell on it.  I'm about to write the very last part where they get onto the train and go back to Ponyville.  I probably will skip most if not all of the train trip and will have them meeting their friends again, who will understandably be a bit relieved to see their friends back safe and sound.

Well, I have it at 2436.  I know the minimum is "2500 words," but that's pretty damned close.  I mean, I'm sure it'll need some refining maybe here and there, and some words may be cut out and some added to make it flow better beyond other corrections.  What do you think?  Should I send it off to the fires of editors?

Update:  I've submitted it to an editor from my state's brony group.

Pinkie's dad as a homophobe has been done to death.  I'd suggest an alternate characterization than that.

2436 words? we're willing to let that slide, if it's good enough.  good on you for submitting it to an editor.  I'd like to see it when you get it back.

Well, I could make Pinkie's dad dead, but then I'd be cutting out a chunk of dialog and finding something for the hole.

From what I heard a lot of characters were copyrighted.

Still, they could just make a parody or homage character and call it that.

Unfortunately, I don't think they CAN, according to Faust (so I've heard) and Thiessen (at BroNYcon September).  It edges too close in terms of characterization to qualify as fair use or even an homage.

Most of the characters are copyrighted, but I do think they could make something Tirek-ish(which would be SWEET, because Tirek was a hardcore demon/baphomet of a villian). BTW, is it wrong that an awesome shipping fic idea just popped in my head, pairing Tirek and Celestia??

B:  You may have to.

Nick:  There's already the Discordlestia and Discordpie ships out there.  They've been around since the season 2 two-parter.

Dakota:  Dat plot!

Affirmed:  Rarity failed the trust fall.

Tai:  Here you go.  Whiteout made them right after the episode.  It's apparently DELICIOUS!  http://askwhiteoutpony.tumblr.com/post/16235535421/so-pinkie-inspired-me-and-i-made

I'm well aware of Discord shipping fics, I've read most of them.  ;D
I just thought shipping between badass villian from G1 with the princess goddess from G4 would be an awesome idea, especially if there is some sort demon spawn that is the end result of it.

I get the feeling Discord would look at Tirek and go "Bitch, PLEASE"

Now that would be a great idea for a fan fic... face off between Tirek and Discord.

So because there's a fanfic thread, I may...post the link there, here, or in both spots when my story makes it through the fires of editorship and prereadership.

I just finally came to the end of Fallout Equestria, after I've spent a lot of time in the last week on it. I... I think I have something in my eye... (The fates of the Mane cast+Princesses... Sniffle.)
That said, I've stopped trying to anticipate what people around here want a while ago, I've found it makes things smoother.
For I was an hungred, and ye told me to pull myself up by my bootstraps: I was thirsty, and ye demanded payment for the privilege of thine urine: I was a stranger, and ye deported me: naked, and ye arrested me for indecency.
