FQA ModFinity Minecraft Server

Its pretty much been decided, I'll be getting a modded Minecraft server sometime soon (likely this week) and those of you who are interested can, when it is online, PM me and I'll give ya the server details and whitelist ya.  The rules there are the same as the rules here: don't be a dick, and I won't set your spawn in the void.  The pack I'll be using as a base is the Feed The Beast Infinity pack, version 1.10.1.  All you need to get it is to download and install the FTB Launcher and bingo, yer set.  Might need to tinker with certain settings (like setting max RAM usage) before firing it up.  I have, however, added a few things, as well as tweaked a few config files to add a better...flavour, so to speak.  When its compiled and posted, there will be a link in this post to the add-on package (hosted on my Dropbox).  Basically, all you need to do is extract it into your Infinity instance's /minecraft/ folder and overwrite when it asks.  Afterwards, go into the /mods/ folder and delete the lower versions of BDLib, Chisel, and AOBD; they should be easy enough to find.  Also, I recommend hitting the "Edit Mod Pack" button in the Launcher and enabling MobiusCore and Opis, if you want a minimap, that is.  If you don't they're not required, just recommended for easier navigation.

Hokay, got the server and installed the things.  Found a good seed, now just waiting for the hosting place to finish their maintenance, and I'll see how she fires up.

Reading green across the board, gonna pre-gen some of the map and protect spawn a little (keep hostiles from spawning in).

[Oh, also, pylons are these things.  Beware of the zaps!]

Invitations and connection details sent!  We'll have a better-looking spawn, at some point, but the one I got built should be good for the time being.

Well, piss. My internet has slowed right down, and now I can't log in for more than a couple of seconds before it times out. Real pain in the ass, now that Minecraft takes over a minute just to boot up. Just thought I'd mention that, so you don't think my absence means I've snubbed you and your server. I should have my shit together in a few days at the very latest.

Alrighty!  Forgot to mention that...unless you're running it off a SSD, this pack might take a minute or two to fire up.  Its not hung or anything, just lots of things to load in.  Least I didn't add GregTech...would be waiting for 20 minutes for shit to get started, then, lol.

Just a heads-up, I've invited a few folks from the other server I play on (which is currently on a long stretch of downtime) to come join us.  They're cool folks and I know they won't try to troll or anything.  Figured I'd let ya know in case you see any unfamiliar names on the player list.

Oh....not sure I can run this as I have to have Java 6 instead of 7 on my computer to run maptools.

If memory serves, you can have multiple versions of Java installed in tandem.  Programs tend to default to whichever one is the latest version they support. Also, I'll have you whitelisted shortly!  You have been added to the whitelist!
