This Bissell is the worst vacuum cleaner in the world. It's the only product I've ever owned that's so irretrievably broken out of the box that I left a negative review on the company website.
See, the hose that connects from the bottom of the vacuum to the collector inside has to go outside the vacuum and connect to the back of the body. But the hose doesn't actually lock into the back! It's just got two tiny plastic tabs on the end of the hose that fit into slots, but don't lock into place in any way. Even tilting the vacuum backwards as normal so you can push it often causes the hose to fall out, promptly spraying whatever was being picked up at your face at high velocity.
To make it even more slapstick bad, the hose can be "attached" upside-down with the wrong tabs in the wrong slots. But it locks even less, so it'll likely fall out immediately. Unfortunately, it tends to ALSO fall out immediately in the proper position. So you never know if you've got it "right" until you finally get it to stay there without breaking apart.
This is the only vacuum I know that attempts to disassemble itself when you don't touch it.
