Dandelions are not only yummy & nutritious but quite medicinal. Dandelion is good for detoxing the system, a clean bowel & other benefits. It can also be made into a nice wine. An Italian sausage on a bun covered in sauteed dandelion greens is very popular at Italian festivals (being a N.Y. native, I remember it being served at the annual Italian Festival in Buffalo. I never personal tasted it, though but it was popular).
Dandelions are also a great substitute for daisies & buttercups as far as "daisy-chains/rings" & "buttercup under the chin" is concerned.
