I believe Tyler Durden said it best:

That should be the mantra of the Occupy movement.
It really should.

History is full of maniacs, my friend, men and women of intelect, highly perceptive individuals, who's brilliant minds know neither restraint nor taboo. Such notions are the devils we must slay for the edification of pony-kind. Even if said edification means violating the rules of decency, society, and rightousness itself.

That's why anti-prostitution laws make no sense.

Nope.

The last sentence of that does have a point.  I'd defend myself against anyone trying to hurt me, someone I love, or any other innocent person while I'm around.  Race, religion, and gender don't matter, if you threaten them, I'll defend them.  With force, if necessary.

That said, hurting people simply out of anger is also wrong, regardless of gender or anything else.

Remember when Family Guy was actually funny?

Nope.

Eh, even if 98% of the episode was just plain bland or disgusting, they manage to have 1 or 2 funny scenes.
I'd be more sympathetic if people here didn't act like they knew what they were saying when they were saying something very much wrong.

I was being funny, actually.

It's just that Family Guy was never really that funny to me.  I did watch it for awhile and then I just lost all interest.

Family Guy has gone downhill.

I think part of the problem is that, nowadays, Family Guy is just being offensive for its own sake.  That might have worked in the '80's, but it's not funny anymore.

Another problem is that several of the characters have changed beyond recognition.  Meg's a punching bag, Stewie's a walking gay joke, and Brian's turned into Seth McFarlane's mouthpiece.

This is why context matters. He tells a seemingly reasonable tale... in opposition to a photo clearly talking about domestic violence (by the image) Hmm.
