Yeah, I've seen it too. It's a super stupid kind of sociological schizophrenia caused by people who really are completely scientifically illiterate, but will hop on a bandwagon cuz the other cool kids do. And they actually think they are genuine progressives. Total delusion. Mirror the extreme right derps.

Kind of like those hipster/anarchist/Lefty kids who are into Ron Paul....the antithesis of everything these youth stand for....but they dig him for his anti-drug war/anti-Iraq stances.

You said it.  I fucking cringe every time some progressive admits to being a Ron Paul supporter.  Why they would want to ally with a racist, homophobic, misogynistic, anti-Semitic, objectivist piece of shit is beyond me.  I know politics makes strange bedfellows, but come on!  This is extremely disconcerting.

For a while my mother thought Ron Paul was one of the greatest men she has ever heard of. While I never got to prove her wrong, I just love that she was yet another person deceived  by his hollow packs of lies.

She even supported his notion to reintroduce the Gold Standard, which will bankrupt our nation to Hell and back, like all of these lol-ibertarian proposals.

Considering Russia has a large share of the world's goldmines, and actually planned, back in Soviet days, to flood the precious metals market with gold to disrupt the world's economy, yeah, not a good idea.
