Commercialism is a problem, but continuing the commercialism under another name isn't a solution.

The idea of trying to keep our major holidays Christian-themed is to make sure nonbelievers feel alienated. Attempting to accommodate other faiths means that the traditions are no longer based on Christianity.

In other words, the goals of the "war on Christmas" crowd are literally the opposite of inclusiveness.

This doesn't stop some people with a very particular axe to grind from playing with numbers to point out that most of the victims are white.
