I think "orbself" might be in reference to nounself pronouns that have something to do with someone's nonsensical gender identity. Like if someone said "my gender is an orb", they might also want people to use orb/orbs/orbself pronouns when referring to them. ("Orb took orbs imaginary friend to the store and got a candy bar for orbself.") That's what popped into my head at least, and yes I know I should get out more.

Basically what Ghoti said. A reference to nounself pronouns, yes. My favorite is juxera, though. Supposedly, it's "a gender like a girl, but on another plane of existence". That's the definition.

just got confirmation by my brother-in-law that it is not a basque apéritif. why am i disappointed? also, i think i'm gonna go with "slightly sillier than troutkin" regarding the definition.

That's... good, I guess. I mean, I'm not juxera or genderpunk and don't use particularly weird pronouns. (I prefer nonbinary to agender but honestly taking a hard stance on that sort of terminology is a pointless exercise, call it whatever you like)

I was going to make a longer post but my brain isn't in top shape right now and I don't want to start a pointless argument. So, um, I'm not comfortable throwing people who choose weirder gender terminology than me under the bus, will elaborate on request after I've had time to sleep.

...possibly for the same reasons/excuses other countries aren't taking in as much? No space, logistics issues, politics etc. But no, when Western countries don't take in refugees it's "logistical issues" or "financial issues", but when countries in the Middle East don't take in refugees they're evil.

Not those particular countries, no. The refugees are in the countries around Syria, but those richest countries aren't taking any. Besides not caring all that much they probably fear that the refugees would cause too instability in their countries and that would be dangerous for the autocratic rulers.

The Saudis are much more willing to fund building more mosques for the refugees in Europe. They literally suggested this when confronted with the fact that they don't do anything for the refugees despite their wealth. (Edit: And if you aren't sure why this is such an outrageous suggestion see what the spread of Salafism has done and is doing to the Muslim world. Real charity, that.)
