Looks like his pro-big business side is overpowering his anti-gay side.

For a minute there, he sounded like an actual conservative instead of his usual neo-con persona.

That's pretty much it. To him they are screwing with a business's right to hire and fire as they please. That's not something that people like these should try to do. If this shit came up during the Robber-Baron years and people were tolerate as they are now. You can bet your ass that Rockefeller, Vanderbilt and the like would be all over these idiots making their lives a living hell for trying to screw with their business. Of course, one thing O'Reilly has its a sense of moral about people trying to screw with the way people's (mostly big business[they count do to a certain case] and rich people) way of handling things. He has shown several times that his morals (his guide of what's right) can override even his less than stellar views.

Kind of like Jack Thompson defending Mass Effect back then, huh?

Well, I guess I can simply accept that he and I agree, though for different reasons.

Anti-gay side?  O'Reilly was one of the people calling for the President to repeal Don't Ask Don't Tell.

Bill's got a lot of things you can go after him for, like not knowing what caused tides, but being anti-gay is a hard sell.

There is a chapter in The No-Spin Zone dedicated entirely to NAMBLA.

Dude it's NAMBLA. Even the most adamant gay supporter hates NAMBLA. It's like the Westbro Baptist Church. It's a gimme.

Not sure about that
he also I think equated gay marriage to a slippery slope to man dolphin marriage
Also this
<a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nP7GJE8cCUI" target="_blank">http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nP7GJE8cCUI</a>

One can make a case that O"reilly has had anti gay moments.

I still recall his rant about lesbian gangs terrorizing america.

It's possible Bill-O softened up on this and didn't bother to tell anyone.  (Public bigots  and just people in the public rarely admit when they realize they are wrong or otherwise change their minds)

Another possibility, as others have said even evil has standards.  One can be prejudiced and still have limits on how far they will take it.

May of the greatest  white abolitionists also believed that black people were inferior to whites.

Human beings are weird.  We are not required to make sense.

This is like when Sean Hannity went after the WBC in the wake of the Amish school shootings. Even Evil Has Standards.

Not to be off-topic but I missed this at the time. What problem do they have with FUCKING AMISH PEOPLE. The Amish don't care for gay marriage last I checked and the don't support the military either, do they?
History is full of maniacs, my friend, men and women of intelect, highly perceptive individuals, who's brilliant minds know neither restraint nor taboo. Such notions are the devils we must slay for the edification of pony-kind. Even if said edification means violating the rules of decency, society, and rightousness itself.

Yes, but he didn't exactly say or do anything to indicate that the average gay man isn't like that.
