Has anyone played the new Hitman?  How is it?  I mean the actual game itself, I know about the "episodic" release stuff.  How does it compare to Blood Money?

It's very good, but I prefer to play with opportunities disabled.  I find it more rewarding to figure out methods on my own.

Attempting to play FFXIV is the definition of suffering. it's novel but I hope Squeenix drops support for it soon so they can start doing super cool shit for the next expansion.

The thing about FFXIV is that it really feels like Square-Enix looked at the MMO stereotype of forcing players to wait until the level cap to have fun and said "You know what, let's make a game that ACTUALLY does that!"

Seriously, level 33 (with a non expanded level cap of 50) and I was still running errands for people and running mind blowingly boring quests and instances.

I dunno. Maybe I'm the only one who enjoyed the story?

Was it because I played with friends? Maybe.

I always hear people praise the story and, I'm sure there's some substance there, but coupled with the grind, it makes it painfully tedious. (Side note, I've got characters on both Cactaur and Jenova, for the record)

lol.

I meant to say playing FFXIV on the PS3. (I bought a PS3 copy for the 30 free days)

I didn't mean to rustle anybody, I actually really love FFXIV.

Ive got one character on CactuAR - level 60 Monk. I need to get back into it actually... I ran out of main story content at some point. I never felt any need to grind, though. The main quest and side quests are more than enough to take you all the way to 60 in one class.

They are enough, but quests being insufficient isn't the problem. The problem is that the questing isn't very much fun.

Playing Serpent Isle, and I noticed a cat was following me around Monitor.  Just out of curiosity, I checked to see if it had an NPC number, which is used as a reference number for the cheat menu to alter an NPCs brains.  Most dynamically-generated (from spawn eggs) NPCs don't have IDs.  The cat, Smudge (aye, it had a name, too), has an ID: 261.  On a lark, I decided to try and add Smudge to the party and see what kind of stat package he's rocking.

Strength: 28
Dexterity: 28
Intelligence: 3
Combat: 26

...  This cat can lift over 360 kilograms and has almost perfect stats.  This cat is stronger than Dupre, a well-seasoned human paladin with massive combat experience.  I am now going to see if the game breaks if I keep Smudge as a member of the party, because he is the fabled Supercat of fucking legend.

Supercat or not, Smudge is pretty stupid.

Pssh, he doesn't need to be intelligent.  Plus, just a little training in his other stats, and the rest can be spent on intelligence.  I'll soon have Smudge quoting Macbeth.

After watching E3, I might have to invest in an XONE within the next year.  Already on my buy list arE:

-Friday the 13th
-We Happy Few
-Sniper Elite 4
-Skyrim Remastered.
