Twitch Plays Pokemon: The Greatest Clusterfuck Of Our Time
« on: February 19, 2014, 02:11:12 am »
So through a system of chat and a bot playing an emulator (taking input from chat),  Pokemon Red is seeing one of the most "interesting" playthroughs ever.  As of this posting, it's been just over 6 days since this started.  Amazingly, they were around 4 badges and had managed to defeat Giovanni from the game corner last I heard.

They were probably going to be trapped in the game corner forever had the creator not intervened and introduced the "Anarchy/Democracy" system.

This is too funny, how the hell did they manage to get any badges at all? I'm watching them enter and re-enter a house several times.

And they're now trapped in a corner by a wandering NPC.

What are they going to do in the Safari Zone when they have a limited number of steps?

Apparently (and this is from what I understand happened), force democracy and take a tedious walkthrough.

Damned if it didn't work!

I heard the creator of the emulator removed the step limit so there's that.

I heard he was planning to, but apparently they kept it.  Honestly anything that motivates enough people to use democracy is pretty fucking cool, seeing as how that never happens normally.
