Eh, I'll give it that it has potential.

I guess I'll avoid writing it off before we even know anything about it :P

I'm looking forward to it.  Then again, I enjoyed Equestria Girls (even if the ending was a little iffy).

So I read that the next episode is Rarity attempting to emulate Applejack to get the attention of some fashion guy? I'm not sure I can handle this episode, I'm really bad at watching cringe humour stuff, I have to keep pausing through the stuff.

I'm really hoping they just don't pitch Spike's crush on Rarity over a cliff.  I'm actually hoping that Rarity, in the end, turns him down, and tells him she already has someone.  He's not much of a stallion, or even much of a pony, but she loves him all the same, and then sweeps Spike up into a hug.

This is old news.  The artists in the fandom have been rather quietly fixing Derpibooru's tagging system since September.

Today's episode was really damned strong.  Bravo, show people!  You did a number of things that impressed me.

1.  You portrayed the frustration of unrequited crushes well.
2.  You did a good job showing just how off-putting/creepy infatuated people can be.
3.  You managed to make farming/Applejack look like the hottest damned thing around.
4.  You...poked fun at hipsters?  I never thought I'd see the day when MLP did that.

That was a really fun episode XD even though it got a little cringe-worthy when Rarity started to imitate Applejack.

Also...

Nice Guy Spike.

Wants Rarity to be happy, even if it isn't with him.

That just makes Spike a Red Mage.  He should Job Change to something more appropriate, like Fighter.

I wonder if we'll eventually see a subplot where Spike stops being Twilight's assistant and starts becoming her apprentice?

I hope we see a subplot like that.

I think they made Rarity and Trender a little too creepy. Especially Trender, since he becomes infatuated with AJ after seeing her for a few seconds.

Also, I think Trander needed more screen time to get to know his character, since he's the driving force of the plot. We only see him get obsessed with AJ. If they had shown how interesting he was, the story would have improved significantly.

I'd be more sympathetic if people here didn't act like they knew what they were saying when they were saying something very much wrong.
