Was it found with an optical telescope or a radio telescope? Are there any pictures of it? I wonder what implications this might have for some religious people. ;D That might just be more interesting to watch than the black holes/stars.

Just to make sure people understand.
This is not the Big Bang. It is just possibly the very first large scale objects created. This happened way after the last scattering which we already see (the cosmic microwave background). Keep in mind that no light (at virtually no wavelength) could propagate in the universe before that and so we really cannot obtain light from times earlier than the last scattering.
