Anything Good Happen Today?

I saw a couple of people who looked like they might be Muslims today while shopping.

She was wearing the headscarf that covered her hair, and he was wearing something that was kinda like.... I dunno, a fez but broader?  I know that younger guys traditionally wear it in the middle east (and it certainly wasn't a freaking turban like the right wing thinks it is)

Aside from that, they were dressing "American".  Pretty fancy, not too formal not too casual, shirts and pants (both of them)

I say this because the right wing has a twisted view of Muslims, and seeing these two people just doing their shopping and having an ordinary life made me smile.

I bought the Hyrule Historia book today. I hadn't intended on making any purchases aside from a new pack of socks, but in my browsing I found one in an aisle it didn't belong in and I just had to buy it.

It's a stunningly beautiful book. This is the kind of thing I went absolutely nuts for when I was a kid. The kind of thing that made me want to draw and stare at art all day, and inspired me deeply.

If any of you know a young person who is artistic and are wondering what to get them for Christmas, I really recommend Hyrule Historia. If they're anything like I was/am, their brains and hearts will explode with joy.

Friend got me a statue of Cernunnos for Yule. *u* I'm gonna properly open it on the Solstice. But I had to check it over because the guy who delivered it basically chucked the package at the door.

I wish I could complain but I didn't get the guy's name or anything. He just dropped it off at the door and sped off.

My confusion was more about the guy's hat because I don't know what it's called.  I've seen it before, just never had a name associated with it. People make a bigger deal about how Muslim women are dressed than Muslim men.

At work today, I was bagging groceries for an older lady who didn't speak very much English, so I talked to her in Spanish. I was pretty rusty, but she looked so happy to find someone who could understand her. I got a hug and a Starbucks gift card (after my manager approved).

This didn't happen "Today", or even "last week", but I wanted to be sure of it before I posted it.

I've finally found my spiritual path, after searching four or five years for it.

It has been so hard for me to find a pair of shoes I like. The big thing right now with sneakers is BRIGHT LOUD FLASHY COLORS, and all I want is something plain and black. Well, I found a pair at a new store today identical to the ones I currently own. I'm a happy camper, considering my current ones are getting holes.

I now have visible muscle definition through a tight shirt.

Grades were posted and I got two A's and a B. I'm quite happy, considering I did very little of my final project.
