Personally, I've never seen it. Though now I'm curious as to what all of the fuss is about. I may give it a watch at some point.
A bunch of stereotyped cliché teens get detention and go through a more or less forced journey of cultural exploration and understanding due to limited exposure. They all leave the detention to the tune of 'Don't you forget about me' by Simple Minds. Surprisingly, the pseudo-greaser does not stab everyone else.

That's sure a cynical take on the film, don't you think?
No its not for two reasons:
  • Each character comes to a cultural understanding.
  • The pseudo-greaser does not stab everyone else.

Despite knowing about indoctrination I thought it was a good idea to put a human Reaper near my office. Now I am a sentient husk :(.
