It'd be hot anyway.  I'm not too keen on hot beer.

This would be my response:

"hell" is like the weed of swear words. It's the most benign word out there and society in general has been so desensitized to it that they don't bother to censor it out of TV. I mean Chef Ramsey says it a lot on his shows and they don't bother to bleep it out.

Hell hellity hell hell hell.

When BBC America runs "Kitchen Nightmares," they even leave "shit" intact, bleeping only "fuck" and its variants.

/wishing I could find the clip of Bart saying "hell, hell, hell, hell..." from that first or second season Simpsons episode (where Lisa takes a sermon about hell to heart) ... YouTube search was no help.

I think it was second season. The first season, for one thing, was hellish in it's lack of hilarity.

For another, I distinctly remember that episode having been on the Season 2 DVD box set. Though I forget the name.

I couldn't find what you were talking about either but since were on the subject of "hell" and it's usage,

I'd be more sympathetic if people here didn't act like they knew what they were saying when they were saying something very much wrong.
