That's a hilarious cartoon. Very political. Not at all a strawman. Also that girls tits and underwear are totally necessary to get the point across.

There are idiots who defend FGM on the grounds that "it's their culture."  When you consider that, this doesn't seem too much like a stretch.

That's not a non-sequitur either. When you consider that  jews won't eat shellfish but muslims will and that they both won't eat pork, this doesn't seem like too much of a stretch.

UP's losing it.

We've reduced him to incoherent MRA grumbling.
Consumption is not a politically combative act — refraining from consumption even less so.

dave, that's jago dibuja's "living with hipster girl and gamer girl". it has to be read with a grain of salt, since it's satire. right down to the physique of hipster girl, it's a criticism. doesn't belong here, however. more in the funny pictures thread.

what's fgm? female genital mutilation? flying geriatric monster? freud gaining mass?

also, what's the link between the two?
@ guizonde: I think I like the way you think.

Thanks guizonde, I don't know if I would have ever figured that out without your help. But frankly it's not particularly satirical. Unless of course it is mocking the gaming obsession that all women have to be portrayed as voluptuous sex dolls whereas men are allowed to appear more average. Or it could just like gratuitous boobies. In all fairness though, who doesn't?

A particularly compelling argument in light of the new study that pork causes cancer. Now I'm not saying that proves Islam is the right religion, but they were definitely on to something well before science figured that shit out.

Was it pork in general or the heavily-processed crap we eat, nowadays?

The first one.  And it's a more extreme example of the same basic principle: people who call themselves "feminists" but are willing to overlook grossly misogynistic acts by "non-whites" (I put that term in quotes because their definition of "white" is rarely consistent), or at least feel conflicted about calling them out in those cases.

Processed meats have been linked to cancer, and other red meats are more than likely linked as well, but either the link is inconclusive or more attenuated, according to the World Health Organization.

Muslims are quite crafty, making non-halal foods carcinogenic. Clearly Allah is the one true Sky Daddy.

Who are these feminists.

I found quite a few without even trying:

https://archive.is/IffrZ

That's from the biggest feminist website in Australia, by the way.

Or take a look at this, from a review of Eli Roth's The Green Inferno:

Quote
The way this film handles female circumcision may be the most bothersome aspect of all. Female Genital Mutilation, or F.G.M. for short, is the ritualistic removal of the female’s genitals, varying slightly from one ethnic group to the next, but all involve the cutting of a young girl’s privates to indicate her transition into womanhood. Mostly practiced in African countries, but existing in different forms all throughout the world, the age of the girls involved ranges anywhere from days after birth to well into their teenage years. Whether or not this practice is morally sound is and has been up for debate for several years, with many nations coming out against it, and many active countries defending their right to perform certain rituals as dictated by their culture.

However, without any prior knowledge on the subject, one watching The Green Inferno would assume that there is only one side to the argument, as it only supports the perception that this activity is immoral. Since the film attacks the topic from a sociological perspective, it should offer up both sides of the debate. For instance, one counterpoint that many in favor of F.G.M. bring up is the comparison to male circumcision; an event that is considered normal by society’s standards in many first world countries. There’s also the argument that many of the countries that use unsafe blades to carry out the act simply don’t have access to proper medical centers that would help safely conduct these events. However, the discussion on female circumcision executed by The Green Inferno fails to provide any real depth, and reveals a lack of research, making the story feel as detached and shallow as its characters.

Hell, even freaking Jezebel got in on the act:

None of your examples demonstrate what you say they do.

The first for example is a woman speaking about her own female circumcision.

Also how is Daily Life Australia's largest feminist website?
