I've taken up a new hobby. As such, I wanted to establish a central thread about it. Yep. This is about crochet. I'm learning how. I just had a class this morning about it.

*hoof-bumps* welcome to the club. I'm out of practice, myself (haven't done it since my college days a decade ago), but I have an odd knack for it. Give me a good playlist and nothing to do, I'll bust out my needles and go nuts.

Hehe. Nice. Aren't needles for knitting, though? Crochet uses a single hook.
On another note, I chose muted purple similar to Twilight Sparkle's coat for my first yarn. It's worsted weight 75% acrylic/25% wool. My hook is a "J" size. It's aluminum, and teal to boot.

I do knitting and crochet. I used to, anyway.

But then you took an arrow to the knee?
No seriously. Why did you stop?

Lack of time and life circumstances. Burning out on college, moving to Michigan, lack of supplies, had to pick what to choose to take at the time, and my hooks, needles and yarn had to stay behind. By the time I came back to Oregon eight months later, I was just emotionally destroyed and haven't picked it up since then. Now it's a matter of finances. $15 would get me several skeins of yarn alone, but when that can be put to better use in your gas tank...
