NWN2 had some definite problems, both technical and in terms of its pacing and gameplay. Mask of the Betrayer, on the other hand, ranks with Planescape: Torment as a masterpiece of storytelling.

So apparently after Everquest II did so, they're making the first one F2P now (and kaputing the Mac server at the same time).  Interesting they didn't do the original first as F2P and then the sequel. Oh well.  Everquest is one that I have on my list to try at some point if only for the "this is where it all started" factor.

And Rift seems to be trying something WoW is doing and is now making free trial to level 20.  That's basically two regions worth of playing, The tutorial region of your faction (Level 1-5) and your starting area of your faction. (Level 5-20) and maybe a little bit of a Level 20-25 region before you have your ass handed to you.  So if you've wanted to try it this would be a good chance. Ode to the Defiant!

I kind of feel like they went past the point of realistic & into completely ridiculous, unless she mud wrestles in every level.

You've never been on an island by yourself and having no time to take a bath after falling multiple times have you? I think it's more realistic that she gets dirtier as she goes on, without rest or a chance to wash off.

Depends on how heavily swimming is featured in the game.

If the logic here is "it's realistic", I will probably not buy the game on the grounds that either they will not feature her pooping, which is not very realistic, or they will feature her pooping, which I'm not remotely interested in seeing.

There's no water on the island? She has no ability to wipe off her face?

Also, IF the mechanic is that she gets dirtier as she is exposed to dirt, that might make sense. I was under the impression this was a static model.
