That picture was sad enough already then I remembered that atleast one judge (Might have been in Spain but I'm not sure.) has declared that a rapist cannot remove a woman's jeans forcefully, therefore anyone wearing jeans must have willingly helped the rapist. There really are people who say that a woman wearing jeans cannot be raped and therefore there are people who would say that she "asked for it."

And now I'm gonna go throw up...

Why do people seem to think that rape only happens in dark alleyways and by yanking the clothing of some random woman? Most rape victims know their rapists and can be coerced into submission through violence or clear threats there of. For a judge not to know that, makes me cry for the Italian justice system.

Also, getting someone else's pants off isn't that hard. Not as hard as people would like to make it seem. If I can do it with a child fighting me to get them changed into bedtime clothes then I could get them off on someone even less willing or even less capable of fighting me off.

I just got back from India where a whole lot of judges and politicians are jumping on the slut-shaming/rape-victim blaming bandwagon.
 It's disgusting, but it seems many people (and some of the major newspapers)* are are also horrified by such views.

* I can't be sure, I didn't really go out and ask a lot of people about the issue
