Change One Letter Game

Hooray, another forum game!  :P

This is a game of changing one letter. Each poster changes one letter of the previously posted word to make a new word. That includes swapping one letter, adding one letter, or subtracting one letter.

Example:

Hole -> Hope (swap one letter)
Hole -> Whole (add one letter)
Hole -> Hoe (subtract one letter)

OT: I remember seeing a screencap of this game on 4chan. It was a six letter word, no prizes for guessing which word it eventually reached.
