No, I'd prefer to see it coming.

If the technology existed to upload your consciousness into a computer simulation that perfectly duplicated all of your senses and allowed you to control your VR environment in any way you wished, would you do it?
No. First off, as much as I hate a lot of this world, I wouldn't abandon my paranoid schizophrenic girlfriend to it. Secondly, she'd likely unplug it if I did, because it would be the biggest dick move in the universe if I did.

If the technology existed to upload your consciousness into a perfect robotic body that can look however you want and that perfectly duplicated all of your senses, felt human, and could eat, drink and fuck, would you do it?

What, so I get to be exactly like me, but somehow even more handsome*, much more durable, and able to switch back on or get put back together once switched off or broken? I'm not seeing a downside. Yes.

Fighting Mr. Mxyzptlk (without the name-stating weakness) or Galactus? Note: only weapons and personnel from this universe (i.e. the non-fictional real world) are available.

Galactus. Use all of the former Soviet nukes (including all Tsar bombs) and all of America's. Should work. He can't eat a sun. As for my question before, I know people who wouldn't, because they fear it wouldn't be "them" or losing their humanity (father and girlfriend, respectively). That's why I asked.

Rule the Soviet Union circa 1970 (able to change history) or America circa 1970 (able to change history)?

Soviet Union. Whilst the USA has possibilities, the Soviet Union has limitless possibility. The Breznhev Stagnation hasn't truly set in yet, so political reforms, reinstituting the NEP, and reigniting the space race ("one of our comrades, first man to Mars!") should a) extend the lifespan of the Soviet Union at least another twenty years and b) force the West to be a better group of societies. It's no coincidence that democratic socialism, the common good, corporate regulation and accountability and other such ideas have faded since 1990.

I have a theme, so it'll continue.

You wake up one morning to discover you are either a) the Joker (in Heath Ledger/Killing Joke extremist mode) or b) Bolivar Trask (without looking like Peter Dinklage). Which is easier on your conscience?

B. Trask may be misguided but he believes he is protecting humanity from a terrible menace. Besides, unless I'm missing something he never killed anyone and the sentinels were a defensive weapon / deterrent. It was only after the sentinels were taken from his control that anything bad was done with them.

Joker on the other hand is a mass murderer who kills just for laughs.

If you were a superhero would you rather have innate superpowers (like x-men for example) or something that comes from outside source like cadgets/supersuits/etc? (like Iron man, power rangers)

Innate. I'd prefer them to be as difficult to take away as possible.

Would you rather sleep with Harley Quinn or Raven from "Teen Titans" (assuming she's 18-19 and thus legal)?

Raven, no debate about this.

Both may be dangerous in their own way but Quinn is completely psycho, Raven only when possessed by her father. (I doubt I'd survive the night with Quinn either and she'd probably make me pretend I'm "Mister J" or something.)

Ice cream or chocolate?

Chocolate ice cream.

Pick a side, we're at war! No third options, the thread is titled This or that. Next thing I know you'll be wanting to add options a, b, c, d, and 5 as well...

Truth (also, ^_^ you knew that it's the Ur-Didact). He's kinda a little bitch. Hell, Regret was tougher.

Would you rather fight High Charity controlled by the Covenant or The Flood?

Depends. If I had a sealed suit of power armour like the SPARTAN-IIs, then I'd pick the flood, because they're fucking dumb. If I was just a marine with shitty body armour and nothing else, then I'd pick the covenant because I'd probably have a better chance of not dying.

Aesthetically, which version of the Master Chief's Mjolnir Mark VI armour do you prefer, the Halo 3 version, or the Halo 4 version?

The Halo 4 version. It looks realer to me. The Halo 3 version always looked a bit more impractical to me.

Would you rather get in a fist fight with a SPARTAN-II or The Arbiter?
