Won’t someone execute the children?!?
« on: November 06, 2013, 08:08:36 pm »
Dear Arkansas how the Fuqua did this kook ever get elected, appointed or even given the time of day? Why and how it was that he was unopposed during the Republican primary? If anyone wants to look into the mouth of madness then read on!

<a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=epUYfmeMFvM" target="_blank">http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=epUYfmeMFvM</a>

Meet Charlie Fuqua: former Arkansas Republican legislator, former lawyer for the Arkansas Department of Human Services and a complete Fuquawad. Fun fact, even after the WARGARBLE quoted below the: ARKANSAS REPUBLICAN PARTY, INDEPENDENCE COUNTY REPUBLICAN PARTY, INDEPENDENCE COUNTY REPUBLICAN CMTE, Republican Officials, Candidates & Former Members did not withdraw funding.

Quote
The maintenance of civil order in society rests on the foundation of family discipline. Therefore, a child who disrespects his parents must be permanently removed from society in a way that gives an example to all other children of the importance of respect for parents. The death penalty for rebellioius children is not something to be taken lightly. The guidelines for administering the death penalty to rebellious children are given in Deut 21:18-21:

This passage does not give parents blanket authority to kill their children. They must follow the proper procedure in order to have the death penalty executed against their children. I cannot think of one instance in the Scripture where parents had their child put to death. Why is this so? Other than the love Christ has for us, there is no greater love then [sic] that of a parent for their child. The last people who would want to see a child put to death would be the parents of the child. Even so, the Scrpture provides a safe guard to protect children from parents who would wrongly exercise the death penalty against them. Parents are required to bring their children to the gate of the city. The gate of the city was the place where the elders of the city met and made judicial pronouncements. In other words, the parents were required to take their children to a court of law and lay out their case before the proper judicial authority, and let the judicial authority determine if the child should be put to death. I know of many cases of rebellious children, however, I cannot think of one case where I believe that a parent had given up on their child to the point that they would have taken their child to a court of law and asked the court to rule that the child be put to death. Even though this procedure would rarely be used, if it were the law of land, it would give parents authority. Children would know that their parents had authority and it would be a tremendous incentive for children to give proper respect to their parents.

If you guessed that he was pro-life too than you win a cookie! Don’t miss his other greatest hits too! Remember folks, once it is on the internet it never goes away!

There is a saying in Finland: A nation will have exactly the kind of leaders it deserves.
No matter what happens, no matter what my last words may end up being, I want everyone to claim that they were:
"If you strike me down, I shall become more powerful than you could possibly imagine."

...I have to admit, that makes Finland seem rather arrogant and condescending.

Yeah no offense Finland you've had some dickheads leading you in the past.  Like when you struck down gay rights.

When this forum was renamed FQA, I couldn't help but think of Rep. Fuqua.

This implies perfect representation.

Look at the comments.  People are actually trying to justify that crap.
Whenever I hear a politician speaking strongly for or against abortion, all I hear is, "I have no idea how to fix the economy!"

It doesn't say a lot for your parenting skills if the only way you can get your kids to listen to you is to threaten them with capital punishment.

@Magus Silveresti: I'm assuming from your response that you disapprove of H. L. Mencken's definition of democracy: the theory that the common people know what they want, and deserve to get it good and hard.
I am an old man, and I've seen many problems, most of which never happened.

a) Whenever I use it I usually add that I'm not sure wether that insults our people or our leaders more.

b) Turns out that I lied, it was originally said by Joseph de Maistre and the official translation is: "Every country has the goverment it deserves." This was a suprise because I honestly thought it was a Finnish saying. It certainly sounds like one.

The Finnish have some pretty metal sayings though.

Or perhaps it just sounds metal because of things lost in translation.

"You can get used to everything except an icicle inside your rectum."

"Eats iron and craps chains." (the definition of being tough.)

"Strong alcohol is the drink of the wise." (Though it means that only wise people should drink alcohol, because they know when to stop.)

"One stupid person asks more than ten wise ones can spare time answering."

But going back to the topic: Claiming that kids should be put to death for disobeying their parents is utterly insane on so many levels and claim like this should see him lose all support.

Also the fascists. Maybe that's what the folk saying is referring to?

Also, too: the Russians. How does that fit into that little theory? Did Finland deserve to be dominated by foreign powers for centuries?
