Huh. I always figured that was mostly a New York thing or something. Up here, it usually comes in family-sized servings in either styrofoam containers or those round, aluminum containers that bend over a cardboard lid (and burn your fingers when you're opening them).
Other question about Chinese food: Is it true that deep fried ginger beef isn't that common down there? As in, this stuff:
It's so common up here that it's usually the first thing people think of when you mention Chinese food (after chicken fried rice).
Edit: Wait, do Chinese places down there include won ton/wor won ton soup as an appetizer in their package meals, or is that just a Canadian thing too?
