Just found out that I need a $360 software package for a class that starts today. Tuition and other supplies have already put me (or, rather, my parents) over budget. To make things better, if I don't have my first assignment for this class turned in next week, I'm automatically dropped, meaning I'm not full time, meaning I can't get claimed as a dependent, meaning my classes can't be used as a tax write-off, and it effectively becomes even more expensive to go to school. Why must there be so much bullshit attached to trying to get an education?
