Republicans. Not for their views, but for the hostility they show toward anyone disagreeing with their views. This really got to me during my little discussion with a former coworker on Facebook (I posted the messages in the FB thread). Basically, she posted a link to something her son said, followed by, "Either agree or get the hell out of our country!" I then countered with some links which tore about what was posted. Instead of debunking what I linked or at least saying, "You're not going to sway my views," she deleted my posts, calling them, 'idiotic.'
It's gotten worse lately. When I was younger and a Republican, you could criticize Bush and especially Quail and no one would look at you twice. Hell, you could disagree with Bush Jr.'s policies and people would at least shrug. Now, you could be a God-loving, woman-hating, money-hoarding, gun-toating Republican who gives $ to them every election, but if you so much as point as a flaw in Ryan's economic plan, you'll be torn apart a a, 'stupid evil liberal socialist.'
I'm pretty sure most people here are either Democrat or lean in that direction. Yet, I've seen people rip Obama to shreds and at the worst get called on to back up what they have to say. I've very rarely (though it does happen) run into someone on the left who nearly rips your head off if you so much as point out that Romney's healcare plan actually improved things in MA (Tha's a hypothetical remark, BTW).
It's pretty sad that, although I am Independent, I want to vote all Democrat this year just to stick it to the Republicans and their brain-dead hostility. I have no problem with epople disagreeing with me. I do have a problem with people saying, "Agree or shut up!"
To quote wrestling personality Jim Cornette, "The democrats are people I'd like to sit in a room with and have a conversation. The Republicans are people I'd like to set on fire."
