I was 11 years old when the guys shoved me into a school bathroom. They pinned me down so I couldn’t move, and they covered my mouth so I couldn’t scream. Everyone knew what happened, but no one did a thing. Why? I wore a skirt „It†was easily my fault – they said. According to this society I ASKED FOR IT.
NOONE ASKS FOR THESE THINGS TO HAPPEN.
This is the society that has been created. This society taught us that it was our fault. We asked for this. We provoke men. Our skirts are too short and our shirts too tight. Apparently, it doesn’t matter if we are 41, 21 or 11.
For 7 years I felt ashamed.
For 7 years I felt dirty.
For 7 years I thought this was my fault.
I am no longer ashamed.
I have NEVER been dirty.
I am here to say this was never my fault.
