Nazi dad gets African American nurse sacked

Dad was a bloke covered in swastikas, he demanded that only white nurses care for his child.

My mom knew a black lady that this kind of happened to. She didn't get fired. One patient she had was a littly old white lady, and when she was getting ready to give her her medicine the lady told her to stop because she didn't want a black person to touch her.

...Except it wasn't a doctor and she wasn't treating the guy with the Nazi body art but an infant that was benefiting from her treatment.

Refusing treatment to swastika man if he has a tantrum about being touched by anything other than lily-white hands, ok.

Refusing treatment to his baby-not so much!

For those with reading comprehension, she was only removed from this particular baby.  Not her job as a whole.  But she does have a discrimination lawsuit right in the bag.  Also I really hope she gets the Nazi as well.

It's 2013. When a guy covered in swastikas says he doesn't want any dirty unclean brown people touchin' his perfect lilly-white daughter, the appropriate response is, 'Well, I'm sorry you feel that way, but your daughter needs medical attention and this is a nurse here to provide it, so kindly go fuck a cactus.' You should not be caving to the demands of racists.

Of course, it's entirely possible that saying something like that would've made the man just pick his daughter up and take her away and not let her get ANY medical treatment, so it might have been just the lesser of two evils.

But seriously. A black nurse being told she can't treat a patient just because she's black? This is 1960s Civil Rights stuff. Why is this happening in 2013?

I'm just stunned at the other spinelessness of the hospital. Are they afraid that a horde of Neo-Nazi goons are gonna pull a "Tim McVeigh" on the hospital building? Maybe the Hospital head's a bigot, too!
