Not to mention the Mage's Guild has portals to other Mage's Guild centers.
Though I will admit, the fast travel of Oblivion/Skyrim is a HUGE convenience. I just think Oblivion should've gone with what Skyrim did and not give you every major city automatically.
I should amend my statement a bit and point out that while there is a mod that essentially sets it up so that you can't just fast travel to any city, the problem with it is that the way the game is set up, you're put in the middle of nowhere at the beginning. You can turn around and walk all the way around the imperial city until you get in, but then you've still got to make the arduous journey to one of the other towns.
Also, due to fast travel being so easy to use, there are naturally no forms of "natural" fast travel like Skyrim and Morrowind have.
I kinda wish the radar system in Skyrim was a bit mroe like Fallout. I understand why it's not but damn, really wish I knew where my god damn companion was without having to wait an hour.
Ironbite-just a mark for where my ally is.
Not a fan of Fallout series, but that does sound handy.
